CLOTHING Please note: When ordering a shirt measure a garment that you wear with the type of fit you require from seam to seam at the junction of the underarm; with berets the circumference of the head at the widest point. Embroidered apparel. In addition to our Lion & Tusk embroidered items pictured below, we also supply the Rhodesian Coat of Arms as a high quality embroiders. Caps will have the word 'Rhodesia' on the back whereas shirts etc. will have it beneath the Coat of Arms as pictured below. The colours in the Coat of Arms best suit a green garment. All items are good quality material. Our normal stock colours are green and black, we can supply other colours on request.

Aprons for $30. Khaki with Lion & Tusk and 'Rhodesian Services Association' embroidered on. Has a large front pocket. We can individualise it by adding a comment of your choice such as "Grill Sergeant", "Boerie King" or anything else you fancy. Price for additional embroidery will be quoted on application. Replica Rhodesian Rugby Jerseys We have researched and copied as close as possible to the 'real thing' as used in the late 1970's. There are two other copies on the market but both contain errors relating to the badge and the stripes. This jersey is the closest that you will get to an original. In 1898 the first national Rhodesian side toured South Africa. We can only see from black and white photos that the strip was dark in colour. In the early 1900's the Green and White hoops were introduced. It was not until the late 1970's that the Lion over the Tusk was actually sewn onto the jersey, the first time that any insignia other than player numbers was worn. Feedback to date from around the world is most favourable regarding size and likeness to the original. Material is a poly /cotton mix and some shrinkage is to be expected. MEDALS, RIBBONS and DEVICES The copy medals that we stock are of the highest quality. Our medals we stock are hallmarked Sterling Silver or silver plated bronze or solid bronze. They are made in New Zealand by a craftsman who only produces quality items in small quantity. You may find other copied Rhodesian medals on offer, in particular the RGSM, but none will come near ours for quality. In addition, when you purchase from us the money is being put to preservation of Rhodesian history - not someone's personal account. Important Note: Our main source of reference when verifying claims of awards is 'Rhodesia Medal Roll - Honours and Decorations of the Rhodesian Conflict 1970 - 1981' by David Saffery. This record is the most reliable record available which has been compiled from Government Gazettes and other reliable sources. The Rhodesian Services Association does not support persons wearing decorations that they are not entitled to. PLEASE NOTE that we can have your medals professionally mounted ready to wear. When ordering we will need to know a few things:
Court Mounting: The ribbon is attached to a board cut to be slightly smaller than the outside profile of the medals (you cannot see it) and a brooch bar is attached to the back of that board, the medals are hung from the ribbon and secured to the board. Examples:
Swing Mounting: The medals are hung from a brooch bar suspended by their ribbon. Swing mounting is generally found to be the Rhodesian soldier's most favored style. The pictures below are examples of swing mounting but are not the work of the person doing the mounting for us - his finished product is far better:
The Zimbabwe Independence Medal was awarded to all those who were serving in Rhodesia in April 1980 - Rhodesian Security Forces, Commonwealth Monitoring Forces and the gooks. The correct placement is to have the Zimbabwe Independence Medal first with the Zimbabwe Ruins facing. This medal was unique, being the first medal to have ever been issued to all sides of a conflict in the world. Over the years there has been a resistance by entitled Rhodesians to wear the medal. In New Zealand precedence was set by the late Peter Bomford MC to wear the Zimbabwe Independence Medal last on his group and to reverse it in protest (see the group above, right hand side). He believed that those entitled to the medal should wear it, but if they were not happy with the situation to make their protest known thus. Full size copy Rhodesia General Service Medal Initiated in 1969 and Awarded for service on operations undertaken for the purpose of combating terrorists or enemy incursions into Rhodesia.

Awarded for long service in the Territorial, Volunteer and Reserve forces; awarded after 12 years unbroken service; clasps for 18 and 24 years.

Awarded to those who served in Southern Rhodesia during the Second World War but who were ineligible for any of the campaign stars or war medals. This is one of the scarcest WWII medals with only around 1,700 being issued. This is the first known copy ever made available for sale to the public. It is cast from solid silver and is 100% New Zealand made. Original medals sell for NZ$600 upwards. Collectors are most welcome to purchase.

We buy these ribbons directly from Toye Kenning & Spencer a family business since 1685 with a Royal Warrant. The company’s ribbons are considered the finest quality in the world. They are produced for many countries and international organisations including the UN and NATO using colorfast cottons to defence specifications.

Other medals and ribbons We can source copies of many British and Commonwealth medals as well as ribbons that would be required for Rhodesian groups ie: Malaya, WWII, WWI, Boer War. We can also try to get any other medal or ribbon that you may require - Please inquire. Small quantity in current stock: Pocket Insert Medal Holder - the medals are pinned through the loops at the top and then slid into the breast pocket eliminating the need to shove thick broach pins through the jacket and damaging the material. Size overall 130mm x 86mm. It should work for all 2 or more medal groups. For single medals a small modification may be required depending on the length of the brooch pin.

We stock berets to suit Rhodesia Regiment, RAR, RLI, Corps of Signals, Engineers Sqn, Armoured Cars and Services Corps. These berets are not originals. They are the same colour as the originals and perfectly acceptable to wear for parades. My original is put away and I use one of these. We can possibly obtain other berets, please ask.

Copy RHACR balkie $20 (Note #4) Notes on badges Note #1 - The SAS beret badge will only be sold to verified Rhodesian SAS operators or such persons authorised by the SAS Regimental Association of South Africa. Note #2 - We stock original RLI badges as well as excellent copies of both pre and post Republic. The copies are made in New Zealand by the same maker as the RGSMs. The copies are a perfect replica. They are marked with a 'C' on the back. Originals are very hard to find now hence our reason for making the copies. Some copies are silver plated bronze $40 others are solid silver $50 Note #3 - This Rhodesian Military Police badge is a copy. It is cast and good quality, perfectly acceptable to wear. Note #4 - The Rhodesian Armoured Car Regiment balkies are copies made in New Zealand to our specifications. They are very good.
4th Battalion Rhodesia Regiment Hackle. These are authentic copies. They were worn by all ranks behind the Rhodesia Regiment badge on the beret, white side to the right. It is a perfect copy and quite acceptable for wearing at parades - it is what I do as my original is too fragile now.

The initiative and drive for this emblem came from the Australian Branch of the Rhodesian Light Infantry Regimental Association. Basic eligibility to purchase this badge is:- Evidence of Eligibility Due to deficiencies and loss of Rhodesian service records, claims of eligibility, and wearing of the Rhodesian CIB is on an understanding of honour and trust. These are the basic criteria which must be met for eligibility for the Rhodesian Combat Infantry badge, with these being:- Rhodesian Infantry Units When making your order you will be required to declare your details of service and these will be kept on record. The integrity of this emblem relies on honesty - please do not be offended by any questions or proof that you may be asked to provide. Rhodesian Army Recruitment Poster - "Be A Man Among Men". This is a reproduction of the original. There are others on the market of lower quality and on much thinner paper. This poster was made 'famous' when the 'Soldier of Fortune' magazine sold copies in the 1970's and 1980's. Measures approx 400mm x 575mm - A2 size.

Originals of these posters are exceedingly rare, so we have reproduced them in order that people can share a great piece of memorabilia at an affordable price. We have reproduced the statement regarding Rhodesian Security Forces being professional soldiers and not mercenaries on the front of posters. On the original this statement was on the back and not generally visible. Each measures approx 750mm x 550mm.
