The work to compile these records took nearly four years to complete and was the combined labours of many people contributing thousands of hours of their “spare time”. The last block of WWI records were loaded on 5 February 2020 thus creating the foundation for the first ever, full record of Rhodesians who died in service from 1890 to 1980 – records covering Rhodesia’s whole history.

Rhodesia’s fallen lie in over 45 countries around the world. Other records will likely be found and added to this database, as will additional information. The process of obtaining photos of graves and memorials is ongoing and assistance is welcome, please email thearchivist@rhodesianservices.org if you want to help.

Anywhere else in world, this kind of project would have been achieved with government funding. In our case, it was achieved by Rhodesian Services Association volunteers who gave their time and commitment so that Rhodesia’s fallen WILL BE REMEMBERED.
